Tag, You're It! Take Two:).

Since I'm in the mood for tags, I'm going to share another one with you! Rachel tagged me for sharing 6 random things about myself. I've already shared about my ability of having goofy pictures taken so the rest of what I share will be less random:o).

Rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you. Check
2. Post the rules on your blog. Check
3. List 6 unspectacular quirks you have. Getting there!
4. Tag 6 bloggers by linking them. I'm thinking of them right now
5. Leave a comment on each taggee's blog to let them know they've been tagged. Hold on! Hold on! Gotta think of the bloggers first!!

Unspectacular Quirk #1: I love, love, love to organize!!! Give me a messy room and I will be formulating a plan in my mind as to how I should go about conquering the mess! That got me in trouble one time though. Years ago Tiffany came over to my house and we started organizing a huge room on our second floor. My parents came home and my dad wasn't too happy about me cleaning everything so we had to put it. all. back. No fun.

Unspectacular Quirk #2: I like to cook by myself. I don't like other people helping me out. I guess it's kinda like that phrase, "too many cooks in the kitchen." I'm learning to be gracious though!

Unspectacular Quirk #3: I prefer to work with junior/senior high teens rather than elementary kids. In fact, elementary kids (*hushed whisper*) scare me! I love babies and junior church kids but after five, it's all down hill for me until about 12:o).

Unspectacular Quirk #4: To go along with my love of organization, everything absolutely has to be in the right place! I don't like to leave the pillows on our sofa and chairs askew when we leave the house. Shoes must be side by side. Computer put away. Dishes cleared from the table. Curtains drawn. I could go on and on:o).

Unspectacular Quirk #5: I have a fetish (an abnormally obsessive preoccupation or attachment; a fixation) with conserving electricity. I will go out of my way to turn off a light in a room that no one is in, or to turn off fans and air cons. I can't stand the thought that electricity is being wasted, although electricity is much cheaper here in Thailand (to the tune of $40.00).

Unspectacular Quirk #6: I have been told several times that I walk very fast. And it's true - I do! When I was a senior in high school, my Principal and his wife took the juniors and seniors on a Civics trip to Washington D.C. My Principal's wife was 7 1/2 months pregnant on that trip and as we charged up a hill in Arlington National Cemetery, she had to stop half-way up to rest. Of course the three of us in the front didn't realize that because we were so far ahead of the group:o).

I'm going to tag... oh let's see! Hmm, decisions, decisions!!! This is like trying to choose teams to play volleyball. Who do I pick??? Oh right, back to deciding:o). I tag:

Ashley

Rachel with the cute niece Raine:o)

Tiffany (do you remember organizing the upstairs at my house?!?)

A Meme Of Sorts.

You know, it's funny. I didn't think I would be on the computer this week, much less posting on the blog, but I'm trying to put VBS pictures up each night (I remember sitting in Thailand waiting for the pics to appear on everyone's MSN spaces, so I'm just trying to oblige the people who aren't at VBS this week!) and so I figure I might as well post too:).

I found this meme over at BooMama and I liked it, (There are some memes that just don't make sense to me!) so I figured I would do it:).

What were you doing 10 years ago?

Wow-ee. 10 years ago? I had just finished 9th grade and was counting down the days until school started again! Yes, I was one of "those" kids... always looking forward to being in school! I was also in the middle of a very bad dating relationship that the Lord thankfully stopped. That's called grace because I wouldn't be here today if I had continued on in that relationship.

Favorite Snacks

  • Fruit or veggies of any kind
  • Toast with peanut butter
  • Crackers (such as cheese-its)
  • Pretzels
  • Granola bars
To Do List

I don't have a written down to-do list, but I do have one in my head! To finish out this evening, I have my devotions left and that's it. I find I am more awake and alert at night compared to the morning so that's why my devotions are done at night:).

Once I get to work tomorrow, I am in the midst of printing a 248-page book (200 copies) and I only have 18 more pages to print, so that's my goal for tomorrow.

Jobs I Have Had

Hmm, let's see. I worked as a:

  • cashier at a grocery store
  • babysitter/nanny
  • Christian school teacher
  • secretary

Places I've Lived

I have lived in Pennsylvania my entire life, with the exception of living in Thailand last summer. So I'm pretty sure you can guess which state is my favorite:).

Bad Habits

I talk out loud a lot (whether anyone is around or not), am very sarcastic, tend to be a little impatient, and worry about things out of my control... and that's enough for now:).

5 Random Things About Me People Might Not Know

  • I like to scrapbook (and I'm hoping to take my scrap booking stuff with me to Thailand)
  • I write for the ladies paper at my church
  • I really enjoy serving others.
  • My favorite subject is History, especially anything with the Civil War.
  • I think Hoops and Yoyo are pretty funny!

I'm going to stop there with the meme, even though it does go on for a little bit.

Check back tomorrow night to see if I keep up the trend:o).

Tag - You're it!

I've been tagged by Jennifer and Elizabeth! Here are the really simple rules:

The rules for this meme are: (1) Link to the person that tagged you. (2) Post the rules on your blog. (3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself. (4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs. (5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

So I guess since I've been tagged twice, I have to come up with 12 non-important things/habits/quirks about myself... Hmm, let me think. Ok, here goes:

  1. I don't know why, but often I'll be in the middle of saying something or doing something random when the camera clicks... case in point:

  2. I think I might have mentioned this a long time ago when I first started the blog, but I have lots of new readers so I can say it again:o). I only have one contact - in my left eye. My eye doctor basically said it would defeat the purpose to have one in my right eye, so it works out for me in not getting confused!
  3. I eat with my right hand but do most everything else with my left.
  4. I prefer typing over writing.
  5. I like to count cross stitch while I watch a movie.
  6. I dislike talking on the phone, unless it's to a sister/sister-in-law.
  7. I would rather go to work in the late afternoon and working until midnight... it's always so quiet then! But alas, I can't do that.
  8. It doesn't take much to get me to laugh.. pretty much all you have to do is have a goofy grin on your face (or something along those lines!) and I'll burst into laughter:o).
  9. I am 5 feet 1 1/2 inches. That 1/2 inch is important to me, since I'm constantly being told I'm short - which I am:o).
  10. I prefer doing a lot of things by myself, which is why I'm often jumping in the car to take a drive:o).
  11. I do not like coffee or soup - which is almost a sin for some people:o).
  12. I have a lisp... who is the cruel person that put that "s" in "lisp" anyway???

So there you have it... 12 random, useless pieces of information about yours truly!

Let's keep the fun rolling. I tag:

Abbi @ Dear Abbi

Jendi @ Jendi's Journal

Leila @ Life Is Beautiful

Lizzy @ Going Lizzy

Abbey @ It's A Wonderful Life!

Kristi @ Thimble Thoughts

If anyone else wants to have a part in it, let me know so I can come read all about you:o).
