This Is A First.

I'm in for a rather long (and busy!) weekend with a volleyball game, wedding of a longtime friend, and hosting a fall gathering of about 30 people so I've decided to do something that I've never done before and we'll see how it goes!

As many of you know, my church has a big printing ministry in addition to having a bookstore. I would like to give away a $15.00 gift certificate at the end of next Wednesday night.

So here's where you come in! Go to the Challenge Press/Book Heaven website, browse around, and come back and tell me one book/CD you would want if you won the gift certificate. I'll work out the details with the winner later (Hmm, can I see some LVBCers coming out in droves for a gift certificate? Well, it's free, so I'm sure that will be motivation:o)), but just leave a comment and I'll close the give away out next Wednesday night.

Happy browsing!

Well since it costs me nothing to dream, I'd choose the Bright Canaan CD. ;)

Btw, appreciated the My Points review. I've been thinking about joining one of those types of places but hesitate to without someone I know giving a clear review. Thanks!

Coll idea! How are you going to pick the winner? Draw names?

Anyways - I would have to say Emilie's Creative Home Organizer
and Bringing Children to Salvation.

I didn't look through EVERYTHING but those look good.

(oh I saw after I wrote this that it is supposed to be ONE book humm.... oh well since when do I follow directions?! :-D )

By the way: When can we have lunch together? Any free time? (hahaha! I know, but I thought I'd give it a try!)

hi, Anne! :)

I would definitely pick one of the piano arrangement books, though not sure as to which one, b/c I am unsure of the level of playing in each of them. Some specify, others do not. Anyways, something that is intermediate to late intermediate. :)

So if you want a specific title, then I will say the "Have Thine Own Way" piano book. I am always looking for good music to play for offertories and such.

I would choose the
"How can I fear" cd from Majesty Music.

What a great ministry! I would love to have Women Leaving the Workplace. I wouldn't mind being one of those that can. Maybe soon. Thanks!

I love the Marriage & Betrothal section of the bookstore!! I have already read "Created to be his helpmeet" and I LOVED it, so I would like to have my own copy. I also would really like to read "A wife after God's own heart"!! I found so many good books on the site!!! I'm going to keep the link so that I can get a couple of these books (Maybe I'll ask for them for Christmas!!)

Thanks for sharing the link!!

Hmmm... it's a toss up between Heather Paulson's book, "Emotional Purity" or Debi Pearl's "Created to Be His HelpMeet". The latter I have read, but do not own :).

Hmm.... or maybe it would be Lady in Waiting :). I dunno. I'll figure it out later.... it is way past bed time!!! :)

Blessings to you!

How thoughtful! I'd have to choose "Created to be His Helpmeet" or "Having a Mary heart in a Martha world".

(Well, since you asked everyone who found you through your Frugal Friday link at Biblical Womanhood...)

I would choose the Hymns for the Home Christmas Collection CD.

I've worked in the bookstore for about 5-6 years (wow! time flies!) but as I browse through the familiar website, I realize I haven't even begun to dig up the treasures inside!! I have always focused on the music selections and perhaps the women's section, but haven't paid much attention to the rest :(. I have heard a lot about the book The Enemy Within recently and how good it is, so if I had to choose, I think I would choose to get that one first.

We would choose
"Majesty Strings Christmas."

I found your page through Biblical Womanhood! Thanks for sharing! It looks like this is a great bookstore with great prices. I would have to pick The Pilgrim's Progress because we have been trying to read it online and having the book would make it so much easier to do!

Hey Anne! It was really good to see you on Saturday. I posted on this link earlier and totally forgot to put what I'd like from bookheaven! Cynthia Heald's book "Becoming a Woman of Freedom" looked really interesting. -Kay-

What a fun give away. From a brief look, I choose:
In the Beginning was Information, and God's Masterpiece, Man's body.
I am into that sort of thing these days!

I forgot to post earlier. So let's see...I guess if I were being selfless I would choose a Bible memory book for the kids. But if I was being selfish- with a bent toward becoming a wife/mother who was MORE selfless (which is TOTALLY how I would justify it)I would choose a wife/lady book, probably by Elizabeth George...or any number of the others.

Or else I would choose Reese's Chronological Bible. Which is already on my list.

Wow, you got a lot of comments!

I'd like to enter this contest! This sounds like fun and what a great idea to give something from your church's ministry!

I noticed there were several books that we already have. That was neat and exciting! We got most of them from the Sword conferences. But anyway......

I saw that y'all had piano arrangement books. So if I were to win this giveaway, I would like one for my daughter, who would require an easy arrangement book if y'all print those. They never said in the description if they were easy, moderate, or difficult. But I would trust your judgment.

If there were no easy arrangements, a book I would like is a biography of letters written to the wife of Stonewall Jackson. That would be nice.

There's a lot of things to choose from! I would probably pick something along the music line - maybe a Christy Galkin cd , maybe a kid's cd, maybe a piano arrangement book...I don't know!

Wow Anne, you got a lot of comments...I didn't realize you were giving away a freebie...cool!

I'll take the Logos Christian Software....

.....scared ya didn't I! :) Would $450 really be too pricey for a good friend?! :)

If I could pick anything I would pick, "Don't Make Me Count to Three"...b/c I find myself counting around here quite often some days. :)

Hey Anne,

I finally got enough courage to comment :-) I like the book "101 More Hymn Stories" by Kenneth Osbeck.

This is a really cool idea, having a free sweepstakes give-away. Thanks for doing it. See you later! "Annonymous M"

Hey Anne,

This is a really neat idea - seemed to work, too - lots of comments.

I think I'd choose "One Thing You Can't Do In Heaven". Pastor mentioned that, I think, and it sounded pretty good. Good soulwinner's book he said.

Anyhow, thanks for asking me to enter your contest. You're the best!
