Oh Sing Unto The Lord...

It sure was great to have 6 men join our team... for a little bit of time anyway! We had our mid-week service tonight instead of tomorrow night since the group is heading up country tomorrow. I took this video clip during the singing, but was trying not to be *too* obvious about it... hence the lovely view of the black leather couch!

The singing was a big blessing to me since it's been a while I've heard singing in English - good and strong! What a blessing to lift our voices in song to the Lord tonight! This might not be a blessing to anyone else besides me, but I figured I would share it anyway. It's easy to "forget" what it's like back home... these guys brought a little bit of LVBC with them!!!!

Oh I loved that. I really miss that kind of singing too. I love that hymn so that makes it even nicer.

Thanks for sharing that!

Hey, I know those guys!

Two quick things:

1) I totally understand! When I was there, we had some guys come through from another church and when they sang with us, I literally cried. :)

2) Is it strange to you to see Americans you know with their shoes off? It's perfectly natural to see the Thais do it, in the store, at church, at home, wherever...but when it is an American, it just strikes me as funny every single time. Bro. John would be the case in point here. :D

You know, I started chuckling to myself that normally these guys wouldn't even be seen in jeans and khakis for a service, much less with their shoes off:).

yes, I can imagine it was good to have a group there that sings out nice and strong...I was talking to Mrs. Lange on the phone when she called the other day...and she said she really appreciated having the guys there, and that the song time was so wonderful!! :) And I'd have to agree that it did sound very nice... Thanks for sharing!

Wow! Those guys can sing really loud! I wish the people at our church would sing like that!
