The SOLID Rock.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

Refrain:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand!

His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Refrain:

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand!

I'm glad you shared that. One of my favorite little books is called "Good Morning, Lord" and it tells the history behind old hymns of the faith. So this was a blessing this morning.

Kristi, This song was such a blessing to me during the service Sunday morning! I thought about the fact that when all us fails (and I finally recognize it!) that Christ still is the solid rock. I'm glad this blessed you too:o).

I love this hymn also.

Did you take the pictures? I really like the shadow one and the reflection one.

Thanks for introducing yourself to me at my blog. I'll be back to yours.

Have a great day!

Jendi ~ I'm no photographer, but I like to take walks and also take some pictures, so I amused myself one afternoon by doing that very thing:o).
